  recently quit being a jw because i realised that beyond armageddon i was going to be ruled by people who cover up child abuse, not telling the congregations by their letter where the money they donated in the box is going towards paying compensation for legal battles which they caused, and also i was bullied by elders and discriminated against for being homosexual, even though i am not practicing it.

  it wasn't until i threatened legal action for a breach of confidence that the elders were deleted.

  so through the media and my own personal experience, i realised that they were no different to corrupt businesses in the world.

  i always found it uncomfortable to informal witness to people but trying to convince a jw to jump ship brings much more pleasure..

  Very intriguing question and interesting video. The Word does tell us that such an eventuality is indeed possible; but, first, there must be some rather dramatic changes to the state of Planet Earth in order to support the numbers. That is foretold as well. It appears, according to The Word, that we may all be very pleasantly surprised when the time comes!

  JWs biggest problem is not doctrinal issues

  it's biggest problems are associated with its lack of genuine love and concern for the rank& file.

  the average person doesn't need a food critic to tell them their hamburger is shit, in the same manner the average person can discern kindness and love.

  gbs fake love and concern is evident in the way head office deals with victims of sexual abuse by jw clergy.

  Hmmmmmm. I'm wondering though whether the lack of love and extreme judgmentalism are in fact really matters of JWBorg Inc. "doctrine." The membership is taught that non-Jws are "bad association" and are therefore to be semi-shunned. They are additionally taught that those deemed to be "spiritually weak" are "bad association" and are to be semi-shunned." They are taught that it is Biblical to "report" any who conduct themselves in "doubting" ways or who dare examine "apostate" materials. Then of course the "Full-Shun" for the dis-fellowshipped as they have been judged to be mentally diseased or "spiritually dead." This climate of fear and distrust nurtures a weird mindset of both (a) being better than the Worldly and (b) undeserving of the Love of Our Father and His Son. A twisted "doctrine" to be sure which is not shared by most of the rest of Christendom.

  They are not taught to love any but themselves, but with a "fake love" that is quite militant compared to the Biblical Agape Love. Their doctrine of "love" is really an extension of the climate of fear/control.
  

  Is it any wonder that their heads become so Effed Up? The stress of conforming to WT Mandated Behaviors drives out any intuitive sense of love and compassion and effectively replaces it with hatred. Which, by the way, looks to be more and more the "secret objective" of WTBorg Inc.; to mind-screw the membership into a slave life of fearful hatred. They've been taught to parrot how much they "love Jehovah" while at the same time demonstrating the Fruitage of The Adversary.

  The Doctrine of Zombification personified. Split-Personality anyone?

  The tight pants and ample bosom are actually quite attractive. All "good" propaganda will contain some sex appeal content. For those "interested ones" who are unaware it will no doubt be quite persuasive.

  john cedars latest youtube video refers to last weekend's wt study article which some have referred to on another thread but i am truly outraged at the continuing misogynist attitude toward women.

  not only did that study article say if women have a family to care for it will stop them gossiping or meddling into other people's affairs, lloyd shares on his video a talk by sam herd from when he was a c.o in 1971.

  (i hope he has since changed his opinion!

  Another "point" which should be obvious in this discussion is that the males in the WTBorg Inc. "religion" are perhaps the true sources of gossip material. Ever been with a group of elders to overhear their "private" discussions? Absolutely shocking!

  Of course, blame the ladies. Sounds like a clear case of CYA.

  would you join a religion which says everyone who is not a member will be killed by god?.

  would you join a religion which you know that statistically if you stay in it long enough, there is a high chance that it will split your family apart?.

  would you join a religion which demands that you preach to your neighbours that they are soon going to die if they don’t believe your message?.

  What religions/organizations aren't a cult?

  so we've already established that most religions can be classified as high control groups, we can name the wbts, church of scientology, lds, etc.

  the list goes on and on.

  but are there any religions or organizations that aren't classified as a high control group or aren't as bad as the ones i've just mentioned?

  Suing The Watchtower Corporation For Pain And Suffering Caused By Clandestine Trial Of Corporatly Biased Impartial Judges (A Real Ordeal)

  i mean they routinely question the "invited" guest of dishonor to their proceedings: if they have any prohibited recording devices and won't allow any witnesses to be present.

  this is cruelly horrible treatment of a human being,, i say this can be a slam dunk in the courts.

  maybe not millions but definitely some nice returns for the person and his lawyer.
